The plight of the Mexicans along the invisible line is another thing. White "Americans" force fed untruths and openly hostile to a race that not only existed long before an European set foot on their soil but had a civilization way beyond anyone else on the planet.
Trump feeds on America's insecurities and no doubt he has ample support amongst the Irish American community.

I grew up in the north of Ireland in the 70s was a young adult in the 80s . My first experience of meeting a coloured person was when I was maybe 8-10 years old 71-73. He had a uniform on and along with is mates was kicking the bejazus out of a couple of older boys. It left an impression on me. For a few years I assumed black people in England were soldiers looking to harm us.
Thanks to my father and a couple of teachers I've learned that 1 coloured soldier doesn't represent all coloured people but the uniform represented an oppressive army.
In to modern life, my work has taken me all over Ireland and the UK. In Scotland as you say ed due to my birth place the old, what team do you support was usually 1 of the first questions asked. In the north the old what's you name and where are you from, Travelling to England esp Manchester airport and Holyhead port you got more attention than you really wanted.
What I've discovered this last while is a quite a few of the "Irish" 2nd 3rd generation are pretty hostile towards immigrates and not really grasping onto the whole Irish spread around the world thing and how famine and war forcrd their generations before to flee there native land.
By far the most shocking display of racism I've come across is at present on the building sites of London atm where there is an open display of hostility towards coloured people from the Eastern European contingent. Its a world wide problem which stems from over nationality and over religious thoughts planted by the system as a method of control.

I worked in London the 80s and 90s, I got descrimated against, even though I'm from the south I was seen as a northern terrorist, but I had to grin and bare it get my head down, there was nothing in Ireland for me at the time, and I can safely say thenough worst jobso I had was working in the buildings for Irish companies, back breakers, and the worst ones are the connemara boys from the west, best companies I worked for were English boys, ironically my best mate was a fanatic Millwall boy, there I was a manchester united, celtic fan with a Milwall, rangers fan, I went to the den a few times with him and he used to say to me don't talk when we go in here, my irish accent would have got me in trouble in there, I couldn't go in to some of his local pubs, I bought him to cork for a few days and their I saw him getting descrimated against cause of his cockney accent, but we thought it was funny, he was lucky my mother liked him.

Yes it was the link u put up kim that showed what holland wanted. Also from there it said EU are trying to keep it quiet.
Agree with view also on Obama and the threat of Russia. Also agree with supasub and sanogo. Good posts all. And good reads and points
Apart from it does not matter one bit what we pay, I think it matters what the whole game of Europe is and needs to be stopped.

Ed. I noticed the Dutch are going for a referendum as they are not happy about TTIP? Some sort of trade agreement between America and EU which entitles american companies to sue the EU if a change in policy affects an American companies profits. Do you know anything about this as I'm presuming that it covers us too. Just another example of global merging if it's correct. Doesn't seem to have been covered at all in our countries media. There is also an online petition set up this week which has about 13000 signatures already for it to get to parliament.

Lol u know smarties are the way forward lol
Yes I agree ed best part of 950 odd years of independence
I believe the Scottish the Irish and English need to stand together united
Or what is the point in UNITED KINGDOM
Irish got stitched up
Soon Scotland, Greece, Portugal, Holland, Denmark don't want the Eu
We are not the only ones

All this little govt in charge want is easy money without having to shoulder blame
Not worth the lives they are lucky enough to live
Just look at what 'queer' dave paid in tax
And all they can do Is try to scare people into surrender
Since we have been in Europe we have been sucked dry, Just like what Blatter did to international football.
The sooner this joke disbands the better.

Fair plays mate if u won't what is best for your country you need to be brave to make it happen
I've done excatly the same with all of my mates my family my partners family my cousins every taxi driver that is British I know about 50 if not more nippers from different estates thronhill millbrook Bassett most British council estates in southampton and they and there family's won't out to
Wot really makes me laugh about it is the hole scared to be independent thing
And also I no I am not the only one that must feel this
But u are meant to work to live and make your life better but most cannot afford a house and know in truth never will and only have very little left after bills, whilst u have competivness thrown into our normal lives to make labour cheap and the houseing market soar all good for the bankers
since 1997 this country has been on a steady decline that is not getting better
And only the blind do not see this
Then not only do these Europeans have there bed made hear they go for a summer holiday every six months for free to when the go back to there country for the summer
Not only do we pay every thing
They have everything and get nothing in return
Only an absolute retarded retard would think this is best for our country .
There is a good way to go yet and most of there lies have been pulled out before we get there the nation will see there true colours I hope
Keep up the good work mate
Ed I like the positivity mate.

Lets see, Johnson was a definite yes man. Nixon, actually had some interesting ideas, destroyed by his own paranoia (or was he), ford was stop gap yes man, carter was a fool, Reagan, well the quickest trip in history was a thought of his, bush sr corporate yes man, Clinton, degenerate sex maniac when he wasn't on his dodgy deals, bush jr, corporate yes man, and Obama will probably end up firmly in the list of 5 worst presidents, biggest con job of the century after global warming.
