Sorry ed my mistake, I try to read a book a day or at least a fair chunk of one. Knowledge is king in this world, I heard a saying that sticks with me "the more you learn the more you earn" hope you guys try it and I hope it helps.

By far the most effective way to expand your consciousness is through the use of plants. Psilocybin mushrooms are great tools to help shed ego and explore your consciousness, but aren't for everyone. If you manage your consciousness well on a day to day basis, they will bring you nothing but clarity and perspective. Shouldn't be abused and I recommend use only when you need an objective look at life, or when wanting to explore your consciousness.

Other tools include meditation, floatation tanks, sensory deprevation tanks, forms of yoga and mindfulness. All take different levels of mastering but all have massive benefits. My suggestion if you choose to use plants is to be in a safe dark environment, maybe your room, with a smallish dose (2-3 grams).

Yes classical is so much better. Also Chinese music and one time I was out shopping and there were some native Americans possibly Navajo doing dome street performance. Very relaxing music and chanting. I'll pass on the drugs though.

Think it was Melbourne who said that. Hallucagenics, reading, meditation who knows?

I've only recently discovered my fondness for classical music Kim, and have to say it helps me drift away into distant thoughts a lot more effectively than modern pop music etc. Something more primal about it. I also like to listen to the odd piece of chanting or tribal music if I feel the need to be at one with myself and to have a good think.

In order to sell it the usual tory interests it won't work by saying its medicinal. But by saying its for tax raising then they'll be able to sell it as a policy. Especially if the tax money goes on various other tory policies. And if they have notice to buy shares in whichever companies get the licences.

my mum takes it for medicinal purpose and I would vote for it. am skeptical if it was not spiked with something though.

No Ed of course its down to the person, sorry I didn't come across clear. I was trying to say about influences and how they can affect peoples judgements be it good or bad.

There was a huge debate when GTA 4 (iirc) came out when Devin Moore shot his way through a police station after stealing the gun from an officer; he then stole a police car and was caught after a car chase (much like the game he'd been playing non-stop). After being caught, he s something along the lines of "Life's a video game, you got to die sometime". This sparked a battle in the courts between Rockstar and Jack Thompson about whether or not the game caused this. I'd recommend watching Gamechangers as it is all about this. Should be on iPlayer as was pretty recent.

I'm a big gamer also. I think it comes down to individual mindsets though. anything can be influential to anyone good or bad, its not to say video games solely are to blame for all the dramas in the world but I bet in the odd occasion they are the root cause.

It is very upsetting and I do believe most horrible assaults come by the way of the deprived and frustrated. Most porn and things that we see a tad seedy over here usually go along way to leaving most men feeling inadequate

Very true guys, but I just can't help feeling sick and really angry about it. It should be every decent persons moral obligation to rid the world of such sick maniacs. Just can't stop thinking about the sick messed up people we have to tolerate on this planet. Almost brings a tear to my eyes. I might just be a bit sensitive but its really upset me.

Agree CTR but Brittany spears was just the opposite it was look at that school girl and 'hit her one more time'. It's a culture thing and it gets slowly intergrated to stop everyone thinking, what the hell was that.

Couldn't agree more ctr and browgun. You can see the agenda's at play. Also, the encouraging of promiscuity can lead to the break up of family units and people can be more easily controlled when they're not part of a cohesive unit.

Its crazy to think that back in the day we looked up to great philosophers, adventurours, inventors etc. Now kids look up to the likes of Kim kardashian who's famous for a sex tape and having a monstrous behind!

Totally right badger. In the west we sexualise real people and specifically target young children and it's not for anything deviant but just to make money that is a red rag to a bull to all the paedos that live over here.

I feel it goes one further as well, they like to give kids unrealistic aspersions and make them feel insecure and probably contribute indirectly to a lot of child suicides. In Japan it's in your face over here it's sly and premeditated.

I'm a big fan of manga and most people get the wrong end of the stick, like my wife who says when I watch anime "oh you perv why has that kid got tits" when the fact is that it's not a kid but a cartoon and most western people associate cartoons with kids.

A lot of manga and anime is very graphic and thought provoking! If you can get past the cartoon there are some very interesting ideas posed by the art form

Gav, I'd be just as worried what it's teaching adults too.

Singers such as Ariana Grande still look like young kids yet are plastered all over the tv dressed into next to nothing singing about all sorts, and with all this paedophile stuff in the news in the last few years is it getting us to think it's not so bad to look at stuff like that?

Gone are the days when it was cool to be that wholesome girl or boy that was good.
Remember Britney Spears had that image.

Pop music videos in the western world are saturated with sexual imagery also. Might be fun for us grown ups at times but when you consider that the videos are mostly watched by kids and young teenagers its pretty sick really, what does it teach our kids?
