So Ed and fellow posters I posted about 2 weeks ago stating a guy I work with went on holiday to tenerife and asked me if the work said to me I had to take the jab or no job what would I do well he went in last Thursday saying he wouldn't work with me unless I got the jab so I said to my boss thanks for the opportunity and I quit that day start a new job on Wednesday. Don't bow to pressure guys these f*ckwits haven't got a clue
{Ed032's Note - Hi, Jacynta. I want to state that I am on your side and this isn't a dig or pop at you I am just speaking from the honesty of my heart, OK.
I totally agree, never bow to pressure but isn't what you have just done that very thing? Giving up your job because a peer has put pressure on you to get jabbed? Maybe I have misunderstood what you have said, but my mind reads it that way.
I do however feel like you have done this as you are a kind spirit and you don't like to make those around you feel uncomfortable from an inbuilt empathic view-point. Kudos.
I am also delighted to know you have a new job and I am sure you will be a happier soul there and I wish you all the very best on your new adventure.
Sometimes change is good. When it is chosen. I differ in opinion when it is forced upon an soul that has no choice. Although, I will admit that there are circumstances where it can sometimes be a refreshingly new start that was never seen.

We have morals and we live and die by them, the sheeple dont understand this viewpoint. However I would always say fight your corner until the bitter end dont quit let them sack you then go for unfair dismissal

The reason why I done this Ed was because there was another 2 guys who worked with us and I knew they felt awkward and didn't want to pick sides so instead of putting them in a position so I decided to leave and at least let them see this human being hopefully for what he is. And don't worry Ed I've got thick skin I don't take offence mate 👍

My first reaction was why did you resign, but I suspect you have been working in a very toxic environment (no pun intended) and a fresh start will be better for you overall.
I don't pretend to know the law, but I believe it's illegal for an employer to make you take the jab. Here in Ireland an employer is not allowed to ask you if you've had the jab, but people are being put under huge pressure, and many have got it for fear of unofficial sanctions and discrimination.
I hope your new job provides a better working environment for you Jacynda.

{Ed032's Note - Yes.
(We have 2 NEW SECTIONS on the this site now. Law opinion and Health. You can post to them sections the same way as normal and Ed033 or myself will place them in the required section. Just a heads up plug. :) )
Law/Unlawful and Legal/illegal are two completely different things. I am pretty new to learning all this so I actually understand them so it is a bit of a strain to explain them but basically legal/illegal is contractual. A contract needs 2 signatures. You signed a contract with your employer when you took their job offer. There was no mention of having to get a vaccine in this contract so if you employer is forcing you to get jabbed or lose your job he is in breach of that contract (illegal act) you both signed and you can sue him.
I suggest to everyone to head on over to the Law Opinion section watch the few videos there and then head on over to Peter Stone's website and start to study all the information he provides. It is mind-blowing and empowering. Together we can figure it all out and discuss but it is something each individual has to learn and understand so they can stand up for themselves and take charge of their own life.

I feel like a weight has been lifted of my shoulders if I'm being honest I wasn't enjoying going to work there anymore the attitude of this person was disgusting we were actually on a site and he walked past a black gentleman and said that's why they should be in the country to all the jobs we don't want to do sounded like modern day slavery

{Ed032's Note - All in all its sounds as though you have made the right choice and are better off out of there.
