Ive just watched this video of Robin Williams improvising, yet it looks very much like he is under some form of mind control, we all know how some celebrities talk about alter egos, and I think this is what we are witnessing here.

The director is also very patient with him, though as the old saying goes time is money. Also the director repeats the same line to him over and over like he's is aware of what's going on and how to deal with it.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=h1EIBtYf-A8

{Ed033's Note - to me, Robin Williams is not under any mind control but is acting totally unscripted and improvising, which is why he's been asked to take part in this short film in the first place, because he can improvise as he did all the time acting in Mork and Mindy. The director is part of the act and the short film is to promote the director, to show that this director can work with any actor, even someone who constantly goes off script.

It tells you what's going on in the beginning of the video

I loved robin Williams, very sad what happened. I'd never seen anything like him, I was spell bound. I didn't fully understand it and some of the humour went over my head, but the more I saw the more I understood. Very sad.

Question for kimphillby, because I'm not sure but I get the impression you know a lot about Russia. if you don't want to answer though, I won't be offended.

A friend has recently got me onto the Russian sleep experiments, just wanted to know what your thoughts are on the subject, if you heard anything about it etc. Also, are the pictures real to your knowledge? Like I said, you don't need to answer if you don't want.

Right then.

Did the nkvd experiment on political prisoners in the 1940s?

Yes. The nkvd did and the kgb continued to do so throughout its existence.

Did these experiments involve sleep deprivation?

It was a standard technique during the purges to extract "confessions". My understanding is these were refined involving drugs. The 2nd chief directorate of the kgb were the ones involved with policing the soviet union and various unfortunates fell into their hands. Some of this took part at the lubyanka at the back of Moscow centre but mainly at lefortovo and other facilities.

As for this particular story, I'm not sure. I never heard anything about it during my career, although totally different directorates so not a surprise if some things are buried.

Is it true? Honestly I don't know, I'd have to look further into it. I'm not sure who I could ask either as the older generations have pretty much gone now.

However the version I've just read through to get some background read to me like a Hollywood horror movie.

I'm afraid I've not seen any pictures but pictures can be faked, incredibly easily at that with modern technology. Without provenance they could be anything.

Short of finding an eyewitness who was there (unlikely as their probably all dead), finding the original file in kgb archives (unlikely, you'd never get in and a lot of the most secret were shredded in '91) or without sufficient technical or medical knowledge of the compound used your not really going to have a definitive answer either way I'm afraid.

Personally in conclusion I'd have to say I don't think its real. It starts off as something that plausibly could have happened. God knows in the 1940s there were enough captured nazi scientists eager to carry on their crackpot experiments and enough of our own as well and a large supply of victims to use. But it descends into some gore soaked horror show with various medical and historical inaccuracies. Blood loss alone kills reasonably quickly. So no for me its not real. Maybe something similar happened and someone's exaggerated to make a good scare story.

{Ed033's Note - 1992 Russian documentary called The Chekist (Secret police officer) with English subtitles about what generally went on during the Bolshevik revolution whereby if you didn't do and think exactly as the Bolsheviks wanted then without charge or trial you were taken out.

Warning: this is a very shocking, gruesome, graphic film and has some nudity but it's worth posting as it shows the real horror of their Bolshevik terror regime back then and possibly shows what's coming to a country near you in the next twenty years or so as Zionist-Bolshevism becomes overt and in our faces.

Very good ed, well worth a viewing. The Bolsheviks were worse than the nazis in some regards. The red terror during the revolution and civil war was brutal. Excesses only exceeded by stalin with the purges and the famines.

For some background the Cheka was the Bolsheviks original secret police supposedly to root out white sympathisers. The two sides in the civil war were the reds and whites. Later reorganisations saw the cheka become the nkvd under stalin and layer the kgb. In fact kgb headquarters was based at Dzerzhinsky square named after one of the original cheka heads.
{Ed033's Note - We should learn from history on this as governments will only become more and more dictatorial to the point that we must get to the point of death/kidnap squads overtly going around grabbing/killing people if they do not do exactly as government says you do.

Indeed. The abuse of power by some of them was horrendous. All internal flights and trains had at least one kgb officer on board either borders agency or second chief directorate. One time I was heading from Moscow back to Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg) and some oaf attempted to use his position to take advantage. Until I produced my own card, never seen anyone go so pale so quick.

Anyway I digress, such organizations are a horrible business. It's too easy for the corrupt to get into positions of authority and power. And the system is too open to abuse.
{Ed033's Note - Youtube is full of examples of people who don't know right from wrong; for example, certain politicians, policemen, private debt collectors, judges, magistrates, barristers, private security personnel etc. No shortage of people who would fit right into a killer terror regime (they would just be doing their jobs of course).

So your not a Zionist Bolshevik then ed?

Do you think we will see a totalitarian style regime in Britain? How long do you think it would take to implement? Do you think it would be easy or difficult to implement? And who do you see being the "acceptable" public face to bring it in, labour or the conservatives?

Personally I think its a long way off happening yet as peoples personal freedoms and will to protest haven't yet been eroded enough.

The election and its fall out have been interesting to see. The country seems to have gone to the right whilst labours hurtling to the left. Haven't seen this for years.
{Ed033's Note - i wrote further up this thread in the next twenty years or so. People will put up with a load more abuse yet. i've written loads of times before that it's going to get a lot worse yet. There's loads of people walking around still thinking that government is implementing stuff only to keep us safe from the terrorists not realising that it's government agencies that are the terrorists.

If any royal employees suddenly turn up dead I would hazard a guess that they were the ones who leaked this "home movie".

Apologies, when I went down the newsagents today for a walk in the early morning sun the front page of the s*n was about Edward 8 teaching the queen mother and the young princess Elizabeth the nazi salute. Its taken from a home movie shot in 1933. Its caused a bit outrage from the palace as its from the queens personal collection. The implication is someone stole and leaked it.

I know it isn't your favourite newspaper so you wouldn't have seen it.

Myself I never bother with newspapers apart from the crosswords and the cricket news.
{Ed001's Note - not much of a surprise though as Eddie was well known to be a Nazi, he was sent into exile purely because he was trying to organise a deal for the UK to become allied to the Third Reich. They had to send him away to block it. Even then the Germans tried to set up a rescue a few times. Hardly a surprise really that the German monarchy would want to ally with their home country either.}

No surprise at all, its rumoured a few others had pro nazi leanings as well.

Personally, you should have just arranged an "accident" for him and Simpson, I'm surprised Churchill didn't although maybe he was blocked from doing so by the other sympathisers in the family.

What's caused the outrage is that it has been perceived as an attack on the queen. Which I can understand as I did think she was excluded from the usual tabloid shenanigans. And the obvious unpleasantness of using stolen property so soon after the phone hacking scandals.
{Ed001's Note - personally have no time for any of them.}

To be honest I've never seen the attraction of going to certain countries just to sit on a beach all day. I'd go crazy with boredom. I like to be active, even at my age, and prefer city breaks where I can go lose myself in the backstreets or museums and art galleries. I'm already considering a September trip to Dublin and maybe some city breaks in Cardiff or Liverpool. Open to suggestions.
