Guys, Has anyone been watching the American TV series 'The Event'?

Quick summary if you have not seen it, a number ET's from from another planet crash landed in 1967. The American government improsened them for 50 or so years until a new radical (black) president sought to release them and tell the world of their existence.

Story transpires further, that the original members who by the way live much longer than humans and who's DNA is only marginally different from our own, want to bring their entire popuation to earth following the impendind destruction of their own planet (Going Supernova).

Furthemore we discover that they were actually on this planet before us humans beings, and that their return will somehow lead to their 'Next Step' in their evolution, of which us lesser beings will not be able to survive.

All im saying is that the writers of this story are possibly leaking some half truths into our Psyche and somehow subconsciously preparing us for this actual scenario. Has anyone is seen this show and does what im descrbing ring true with any other conspiracy theories you guys believe in? Please discuss.

Bit quiet on here of late, Il get it rolling again with something new, Ed, fellow readers, anyone, are you familiar with the supposed 'technological singularity'. il try to explain briefly if you arent, its the point where computer intellect surpasses human intellect, apparantley this will rapidly lead to a unstoppable mega explosion of new intelligence, it will grow so quickly we (humans) wont be able to comprehend it, and will NEVER catch up or overtake its knowledge. its impossible to even begin to predict what will happen after the 'singularity', everything will change as we know it and it is absoloutley inevitable. I find it very fascinating, apparantley this is very close to happening, if it hasnt already happened, maybe when we talk about e.t's being thousand of years infront, they arent, they just 'exploded' after there singularity just like we will soon. Maybe its already happened and its a massive cover up job to keep this explosion of new technology and knowledge under raps, sort of like the black technology the ed mentioned recently, Anyone else know anything about this, like to add theories or anything about it, Cheers

Anthony Sanchez is allegedly going to release information on this subject in January 2012 via his research into Project Leonid. This project allegedly concerns, self aware, ET, artificial intelligence NWO black technology weaponry in Earth orbit that could at any point turn on us and use this weaponry against us. Not a conspiracy rumour. Just finished reading the book, the Spirit Level, about global financial inequality in the worlds' twenty richest countries. If you haven't already, please read. It has all the statistical information to offer the answers to what I suspect most people who use this site already feel they know.
Anyone read it?

Can anyone tell me why we say 'merry Christmas' to everyone? Considering its Pagan origins, perhaps thats why we celebrate it, they loved a good piss up too.

i get funny looks of mu daughter for being in to ufos, infact she thinks i am a crank lol, anyway last night she texted me to say there is a weird light(her window right by her bed) the time was about 12 50 am to 1am, she texted her b/f who just left our house and said can you see those weird lights, he texted bk yeah its mad, by the time i got a text of her i went outside to be honest i never seen anything apart from a plane that was very high and loads of stars as it was very clear night in liverpool, daughter described the lights were circulating then pulsing then the same light never circulated it was like a cigar shape light, the dozy cow had time to text her b/f and me but never took a pic or video of the lights , she still wont have its a ufo thou lol,anyone seen any light over liverppol last nigh? tried to google if anyone seen anything but nothing .

i was watching something on the tv the otherday, a program called beast hunter, the guy (pat spain) was after a giant ground sloth in south america, he didn't find it (if it's there) but does anyone believe in these sorts of creatures? i think there could be, the amazon is huge and there is huge amounts untouched, i think it would be ignorant to think we've found everything out there, whats your view on these things ed? {Ed001's Note - it's clear that there are still plenty of animals to be discovered in the world, new species are discovered regularly. So it is perfectly possible, in fact probably likely, that they do exist but that we have yet to find them.}
