In theory, if your name is on the Energy bill, you get to say whether you want a new meter or not as smart meters are optional, so the first thing is you should contact them now to say you don\'t agree or consent to it [which you have the right to do if your name is on the energy bill] and tell them you need to see their Risk Assessment of installing such a Meter, just to see what their initial response is. Second is to look at your rental agreement you signed to see if you\'ve already agreed to it in general terms. The third thing you can do is send a Notice of Liability or conditional acceptance with fee schedule [which i\'ll link to later in this thread] to the top people in the organisation who are required to take liability if anything negative happens.
