I was talking to Ed033 yesterday, after doing some research on some new conspiracies to raise up as subjects for the 'Poll of the Day' question. I was very surprised when he was telling me how little coverage there is of the conspiracies that have taken place within the sphere of military history.

Obviously there is famous ones such as Pearl Harbour and Coventry, with both attacks being allowed to take place with the full knowledge of their respective governments. Most conspiracy sites seem to skirt those kind of conspiracies, even though they show just what kind of things governments are capable of, and in many cases have similarities to things which took place outside of wartime.

For instance, the UK's constant meddling in the Middle East, to protect its oil interests, in particular the Oman, has been very well documented. Ranulph Fiennes, for instance, has written books on the subject, one leading to an attempt on his life, which he also wrote a book about and was turned into a film starring Jason Statham.

It makes me wonder why the conspiracy sites are not mentioning these kind of conspiracies, that have a lot more available evidence than most they do cover. Is the murder of Commander 'Buster' Crabbe, which has plentiful evidence of a British cover up, going unmentioned for a valid reason?

It does make me wonder if these well known sites are real or just mouthpieces for disinformation. Why not present very clear evidence of these conspiracies, as they showcase so many of the methodologies still used by the secret services to this day.

Couple of Russian ones for you Ed001. There is of course the submarine kursk from a few years ago. And Stalin ignored warnings of the German build up prior to Barbarossa. I've seen some people claim that as a conspiracy. Will have a think for more.

Kim Philby
{Ed001's Note - it was odd that Stalin refuse to accept the warnings, as it was in no way a surprise Hitler would attack, considering Mein Kampf was full of talk of attacking Russia.}

Whats the movie edd? and yes true military conspiricies like in the background but when you look back how ww1 started it should be more prominent.

Will check it out tonight and that movie is supposedly based on who?yeah I know clive owen a big red, decent actor and he narritated that cringy "being liverpool" fly on the wall doc.
{Ed001's Note - Ranulph Fiennes wrote the book, the story is based on the SAS team he was a part of that assasinated an Arab leader and were then the target of assassins themselves after retirement. Fiennes wrote a few books that were embarrassing for the British government. This also has a lot of mentions of the 'Feathermen', who are worth looking into.}

Indeed, very strange. Even the nkvd took time out from slaughtering the population, the party and the army to warn him.

I will check out that film as well. You say Clive Owen and Jason Statham? If I were 20 years younger.

Eds, regulars, anyone! I'm looking for some new reading material. Any good, interesting books about conspiracies, JFK or the like? Thanks for your help

frankyscouser
Sorry mate I am not a massive book fan, been trying to get into the book edd02 suggested but I have the attention span of a fish, and I am ashamed to say I have prob not read more than 10 books in my life, I would steer away from jfk as its been done to death and new books are prob disinfo or someone trying to make money, my theory on new books is 90% are going to be lies, its trying to find the 10% that have substance to them, if I was you I would try a get a conspiracy book that was wrote in 60s 70s and early 80s as it was a bit more free to get more info, just my take on it.

Jfk is the ultimate in conspiracies, however I think it's obvious on who and how it was done is clear and what baffles me now is JFK Jr. death? If anyone has any good links please post.

The theory was he was about to expose who was behind his dad's death and also run for president. And who was behind it was George h bush snr and at the time of jfk jr's death george bush jr was running for president also.
Hmmmm this will never go away which is a shame.

Regarding JFK, I just wanted to ask, as i've read and heard in quite a few places (sorry if this sounds silly), that he was going to go public on a number items, including the existence of UFO's and ExtraTerrestrial beings. How true was this?

hi guys this is a strange post, my oldest daughter has been is in austraila since 1st september and she is there for a year, her b/d on saturday so rang her up just now having a chat etc, she said she will not be brisbane next week because the family she works for (she is a aur pair) are panicking while the G20 meeting is held, security there is off the chart my daughter has said, but a lot of people in brisbane are leaving while this meeting is held, "nothing strange" I said to my daughter, anyway she tells me this story about 1 of her mates that is also in brisbane, her mate finds a wallet with money and details in it and contacts the man to say she has his wallet, he meets her and the man who has a muslim name thanks her and trys to give her money for returning the wallet, my daughters mate says no its ok I would do the same to anyone, he's reply is "your a kind girl, stay out of brisbane and sydney on new years eve" then he walks away, my daughters mate never said anything, think she was a bit taken back but she told my daughter and the gang of mates they have, everyone is saying to lauren (daughters mate) that she should tell the police what is going on, up to now she has not, normally I would take stuff like this with a pinch of salt but when its your own kid in a city that could be a target, its gets you thinking, just thought I would share that with you and if anything devolelops I will update you.

Isn't this the same story that goes around most years since 9/11? Usually same set up but stay away from meadowhall /Trafford center/blue water on certain dates in the lead up to Xmas? Wouldn't worry about it at all the story would never have happened

I get that it gets bandered around that something might happen on a certain date, but why would he mention two citiess in australia and not the city there are in (brisbane)?been thinking about it, could he have ment that because they are not from oz that they would be better away from brisb/sydney? racking my brain, then again if he knew anything I don't suppose he would say something like that knowing that my daughters mate knows his details and stuff,
my daughter has said everyone who is a ozzy is anxious in general about these terrorists warnings as its new to them, who knows like the poster said could be nothing in it.
{Ed033's Note - Statistically, it's highly unlikely anything would happen but in 2011 when William Henry (author, presenter) took a tour group to Egypt, a man with a British accent came up to him and his group (probably MI6) and said something like, tomorrow all hell is going to break loose.

And it did. This was when the egyptian revolution (arab spring) broke out the next day in 2011.

Funny enough since my daughter has been in oz I do the odd search of the current news in brisbane and there definitely seems to be a step up of terrorist related stories in there msm, so its in the public memory and its only hightened when the most powerful people in the world arrive next week, to my knowledge australia have never had a terrorist attack on its home soil, we have seen recently canada have a incident, so is this a build up to what's going down?makes you think this muslim man (who spoke with a ozzy accent)could have been intelligence rather than a would be terrorist as I said in my other post I could not see a terrorist giving someone the heads up when she has had his details.

sounds far fetched this post I know but I had to post itand regardless I will try to advise my daughter to swerve new years eve in those city centers, but trying to change the mind of a soon to be 23 year old stubborn girl I think I have more chance to get prince phillip to admit he is a scrounger.

{Ed033's Note - Hilda Murrell was involved in the top-secret work at Bletchley Park during the World War 2, she also had inside info about the Falklands War and Britain’s plans for nuclear power and weapons.

She was suspected of having sensitive info about the sinking of the General Belgrano in the 1982 Falklands War that was 59 miles outside the exclusion zone and travelling away from the Falklands when it was sunk.

No surprise then that she was found murdered and all the evidence points to a government cover up after being given the go ahead to testify as an independent objector at the public inquiry about nuclear plants being built in Britain.

This happened in 1984 but people are still being harassed today by agents for writing books on this murder.

I've read on here a few times about Walt Disney being a paedophile and that it was also portrayed in his work (cartoons). I've just been reading The Sun and found them asking kids to send in videos of them singing the new hit Disney song from a new movie they've brung out. If you look a bit closer to the words its pure filth. Basically filthy thoughts of a woman having an orgasm. Here it is below.

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried!

Dont let them in, don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
Well, now they know!

Let it go let it go
Cant hold it back anymore
Let it go let it go.

i filled out a a pre filled form concerning gaza I just added my details and it got sent to my local mp who finally replied to me today (better late than never I suppose )

here is her reply copy and paste

Dear Franky

Thank you for writing to me about the debate on Palestinian statehood that took place on Monday 13 October. I received a large number of emails from constituents representing a very wide range of views.

I share your support for the establishment of a Palestinian state and want that day to come sooner rather than later. I strongly support, and have consistently campaigned for, the principle of a two-state solution. I believe a two-state solution equates to a viable and democratic Palestinian state living alongside a safe, secure Israel.

The legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people for their own state have gone unrealised for too long, as have the legitimate expectation of the Israeli people to live in peace and security. For that reason I want to see Britain acting as an honest broker for peace and to do everything it can to advance a peaceful and just resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

I was appalled by the suffering and violence which occurred in Israel and Gaza this summer. I believe that both the Israeli and the Palestinian leaderships must be held accountable for their actions. I believe that a successful reconstruction of Gaza, and the maintenance of the current ceasefire, can only come into effect if Hamas is demilitarised and replaced by the moderate Palestinian Authority. I was encouraged at the progress towards reconstruction in Gaza made by the Cairo conference the other weekend, and, in recent days, the opening of the border by Israel into Gaza to allow in construction materials.

Now that a ceasefire is in place, we need to remove all the obstacles and barriers to negotiations. The goal of peace depends on two sides, Israelis and Palestinians, working together with active and engaged international support to develop a viable Palestinian state.

Britain has an important role to play in promoting economic development, trade and investment in the West Bank and reconstruction and demilitarisation in Gaza. These are the foundations upon which those negotiations will be built.

I believe all our efforts must now be focused on urgently restarting negotiations and direct dialogue between Israel and the Palestinian Authority as it is only through mutual agreement between the two that Palestinian statehood will be achieved.

I was unable to attend the backbench business debate recently due to a longstanding commitment. However, I am worried that unilateral moves could be counterproductive by removing the necessity of compromise and conciliation, which rests at the heart of the kind of genuine negotiations which can lead to a lasting peace. The reality, as the vast majority of MPs who spoke in the parliamentary debate recognised, is that the outstanding issues pertaining to the creation of a viable Palestinian state alongside, and at peace with, Israel can only be resolved at the negotiating table.

I want to reiterate that I fully support the creation of a viable Palestinian state alongside Israel and will continue to do all I can to work towards a just two-state solution.

I will, of course, continue to follow this issue closely. Thank you once again for writing to me and for sharing your views.

Yours sincerely

Luciana

here is my reply back to her.

thank you for the reply luciana, the thing that troubles me more (and I am not the only one)is the lack off action done by the west to stop israel, armed to the teeth by america against a nation that has had its civil liberties took away gradually decades ago, I am not getting in the argument who lived there first as its to complicated but as a human being watching my twitter timeline and reading and watching the images from truly independent reporters (not the mainstream media propaganda ) was truly shocking, and we the west stood by and allowed israel bomb gaza in to the stone age while killing babies and mothers, this is not just a tory stance to allow this to happen all parties seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet, one thing you may not be aware of luciana is there is a growing unrest with the actions taken like gaza and the recent fiasco Government inquiry into historical child sex abuse, we are staggered that you have let fiona may to try appoint people who are favorable to the establishment and not one objection, I am sorry to say this but I come from a region of labor supporters who voted labor generation after generation but speaking to people now we all feel you are out of touch and we need a peoples party like say the nha party, there is growing unrest on the street and on social network sites, action not words is needed because I am sorry to say this but more people are going to vote that vile party ukip and them and the tories are the last group I want in liverpool.

regards franky.

what I am trying to say here is do not just moan about issues try to be pro active emails/protests etc
i am not saying one email is going to make a great difference but if all of us do it then they have to listen.

Well done Franky. Her answer is quite considered and reassuring. And you're right of course, if millions were writing letters/emails, they would have to give it lengthier consideration.

Ryan.
{Ed001's Note - how is her answer reassuring? She wants to demilitarise one country, while allowing the other to keep its military! That would leave Palestine completely at the mercy of the Israelis and cause more problems than it would solve. It would make matters worse.}

I agree with Ed001 on this. How would demilitarizing Palestine while allowing Israel to maintain a nuclear arsenal restore balance to the area and serve as the foundation of long-lasting peace between Israel and Palestine?

Also, why would Britain have an important role to play in a conflict so far away from their own borders? Were the Palestinians informed and have they agreed to this? Based on the British establishment's track record, Palestine would become another establishment colony in one way or another (monetary, geostrategic etc. ).

Additionally, I wonder what she considers a democratic state to be. When one has no notion of what democracy is how could they ever help others organize in such a way? A ludicrous concept if I ever encountered one.

Lastly, I think the word that deserves the most attention in her email is "viable". What does she perceive as a "viable" Palestinian state? I bet if one asked her, she would mutter something along the lines of "delicate situations, sensitive issues and complicated matters" without ever offering an explanation.

Politicians are actors that only do tragedies. Seeing as this is the age of comedy, the sooner we rid of them the sooner our laughter will rise to the sky.

Luciana berger is my local mp and I have always know she is Jewish which is no big deal alone because plenty of Jewish people are fed up of this and just want peace, but I have been doing a bit more digging about her since that email (should have done it before I replied) and here are a few facts.

1 she was member of the National Union of Students she resigned from the Executive Committee, accusing other NEC members of anti-Semitism

2 she appeared on a Radio Five Live show which also featured Kelvin MacKenzie, editor of that vile paper, when everyone from liverpool let there feelings known to her about it she claimed she never knew he was going to be on the program, simple answer is to walk out when she did find out, no excuse.

3 Berger was the Director of Labour Friends of Israel for 3 years, but stepped down before the 2010 general election to stand in Liverpool.

to her credit Berger was being criticised by the Jewish community in Liverpool and supporters of Israel for not using her position to defend the country for the sake of career advancement. After sixteen months in parliament, she had not mentioned Israel in any of her parliamentary interventions.

conclusion her roots are firmly behind israel but she knows the majority of people in this country who have seen the images from gaza find it offensive anyone codoning what israel did.

i am kicking myself I did not give a better reply to her email, I should have been more measured and pulled her up on some of the things she put on her email, instead I went in to rant mode.

No reason to kick yourself Franky. Same goes for Ryan and myself for that matter.

Career politicians are trained in the use of rhetoric. They can tell which buttons to push and which to avoid. How to beautify, promote and coerce one into identifying with establishment agenda, while simultaneously suppressing doubt. They are well versed in the use of trigger words, pretentious compassion and self-righteousness.

If one spent their life playing poker without cards, one would be expected to have mastered bluffing, misdirection and reading another's tells. I doubt anyone here spends their time contemplating how to better manipulate others, so it's not really a fair fight.

After reading her response a couple more times, I realize that one could write an essay on her honed use of rhetoric.
As for the rant mode you referred to, it is a natural defense mechanism triggered by one's perception of being manipulated while not yet realizing in what way, how and to what end.
Noticing it is the first step in not letting it happen again.

I'm watching a documentary on Channel 5 that is trying to claim the twin towers fell because the aluminium from the planes had a chemical reaction with water that causes it to be more explosive than TNT and thus creating the melting of the floors. Nicholas Lyndhurst who narrates has no shame and must be really desperate for a few bob if he is fronting this rubbish.

I guess he who pays the piper calls the tune, and the mainstream media are nothing more than whores who will peddle the propaganda of those with the deepest pockets.

been watching and reading this staged CSA inquiry fiasco for the last few months and I have come to the conclusion that this is not the establishment trying to get their mates on the committee (in a ideal world they would love it), this is a stalling tactic like Hillsborough.

At first I thought they were trying to get one of their own in with Baroness Butler-Sloss and even though that vile women, Fiona may have tried her hardest to keep her in, eventually she went, but to put in a women (Fiona Woolf) who had dinner parties with the accused and his wife is taking the p*** or is it?

The establishment may be arrogant but they are not stupid, after all they stayed in power for 100s of years. They have put this women up knowingly that the campaigners were going to find her links to the accused. I think the amount of time it's taken is just a ploy to cover their tracks and it would not surprise me in the least the high profile accused will either be dead or deemed senile as they will be old men.

Let's be honest, this is an inquiry that could drag on and on. Then, if anyone is deemed responsible in any way, then they will go to court, we are looking at 3 to 4 years nd by that time those will be gone one way or another. We will get the token arrests like the saville aftermath, all z list celebs but not 1 alive mp though.

{Ed033's Note - Baroness Butler-Sloss' brother, Sir Michael Havers prevented the prosecution of paedophiles, if people look him up.
frankyscouser
Yeah unbelievable that is why I think the establishment know this will eventually come out but like Hillsborough it will drag on and on, because leon brittan is not a young man if he was then I would expect mr brittan to have an accident or take his own life, one thing I would do is sack or charge fiona may for her role in this, in my eyes she know is as guilty as those who are accused.

Franky, I think it would be longer than 3-4 years. The inquiry could take 5. Given its brief, the time period involved, the number of victims, the number of perpetrators etc then it will drag on for years before getting to court. Lawyers never move fast. Then any court cases would be dragged out with lots of legal delays etc. I think we'll still be talking about it in a decades time.

Not that Savile was a patsy or scapegoat but the way it's being made out he worked alone and nobody knew what he was up to.
